Boletes Mushroom, is a wild mushroom, closely related to porcini. Grows under conifers and hardwoods in temperate climates. Boletes have a fine, sponge-like network of tubes and have a rich, deep, earthy, umami-rich flavor similar to porcini mushrooms.
Reconstitute: Rinse and soak in boiling water for 15-20 min or until softened. Remove from water add to the recipe.
It's deeply earthy flavor isperfect for creamy and deep brown sauces and gravies. Pairs well with potatoes and pasta.Also delicious as pizza topping.
