Cumin seeds, the dried fruit/seed of an annual flowering plant, and is one of the
most popular spices used throughout the Middle East and Asia, especially in India.
It has a distinctive earthy flavor and a strong, sweet warm aroma-slightly bitter and
pungent taste. It enriches the taste of vegetables and beans, enhancing the
savory flavor of meat dishes.
Suggested Uses:
Usually tempered in oil or dry roasted then ground into a fine powder with a spice grinder or mortar before adding to the dishes. This will bring out the nutty flavor,
elevating the taste of many recipes.
