FENUGREEK SEED

Fenugreek seed is the dried flavorful fruit/seeds of the fragrant fenugreek herb, that has long been used in Indian, Middle Eastern, South Asian and North African foods and medicine. It has distinct warm aroma, slightly sweet and nutty with a bitter undertone.
A small amount of fenugreek seed will complement other spices-too much will result in an unpleasant bitterness & will dominate the dish.
Suggested Uses:
Can be used whole or ground, often used in Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines to flavor
soups, stews or curries, season vegetables or salads, or added to curry powder, aromatic
spice blends, dry rubs, and tea blends. Ground seeds are mixed with bread flour to make delicious 'Methi Paratha'.

Fenugreek seeds and powder is used as natural herbal medicine as a digestive aid, lower
inflammation; promote breast milk in nursing women, promotes healthy skin and
hair, regulate blood sugar, increase hormone levels for women, or relieve menstrual cramps.
Make tea: Put 1 tsp seeds / powder in a cup of boiling water, steep for 3-5 min., strain,
drink 3 cup/ day.
