Saffron Rice is long grain aromatic Jasmine rice infused with Saffron, Paprika and Turmeric powder. It adds sweet scent, rich & earthy flavor and exquisite yellow color to rice dishes.
Use in rice pilaf, paella, rice salads or unique side dishes to pair with meat, poultry or fish.
Cooking Instructions for plain saffron rice:
- In a sauce pan add 1 ¾ cups of water / Cup rice.
- Bring to a soft boil, lower the heat, cover with lid and simmer for 20 minutes or grain are soft but not sticky.
- Turn off the heat, let the rice steamed in the covered pot at least another 5-10 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid.
- Fluff with fork and ready to serve rice alone.
One cup of rice will yield: 3 cups of cooked rice.
