White Sesame Seeds are the tiny, flat seeds of a flowering plant, after the brown hull of the
seeds are removed (hulled). Resulting in a creamier and sweeter seed with an off-w hite
color, almost no aroma and an incredibly delicate, nutlike flavor with a mildly sweet finish. And aroma that is enhanced by toasting the seeds.
Suggested Uses:
It is a common ingredient in both Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines and add a delicate
crunch and flavor in many dishes. To add flavor garnish everything from salads, stir-fried
vegetables and noodle dishes to cakes, desserts, cookies, breads, crackers, biscuits and other baked goods.
It is the main ingredient in making tahini paste & Middle Eastern sweet ‘Sesame Halva’
To toast: heat the seeds in a skillet over high heat, stirring occasionally (3-5 min) until
golden and release a toasted nutty fragrance.
