AKA ‘Dinkel wheat, Farro grande’
Spelt is an ancient species of wheat grain, with a slightly sweet, nutty and chewy texture. Spelt contains more protein, fats and crude fiber than wheat. Perfect for fresh-milled spelt into your baking breads, pastas or cookies. Also great in soups, stews, or breakfast bowls for texture and flavor.
Can be substituted for rice, quinoa, barley or wheat in most dishes.
Basic Prep: Add 1 cup Organic Spelt to 2-1/2 cups water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat,
cover and simmer for 35 minutes.
