Small Fava Bean are a round, small greenish-green beans with its outer skin removed & split. It have a creamy pale yellow color. When cooked has a rich texture and sweet, mellow flavor. Peeled fava beans are good in soups, dips, salads, pastas and stews. Also ground to make Falafel balls and roasted to make snacks.
Basic preparation: Wash, rinse & soak overnight. Add 4 Cups of water / Cup of Bean, bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 30-40 minutes or until tender (add more water as needed). Whisk lightly to remove the floating foam while cooking.
Yield: 3 cups of cooked beans / Cup of dry beans
