Large Lima Beans are large flat, cream colored bean, native to Central America. When cooked have a rich creamy texture, and deliciously earthy, savory and almost buttery flavor. Excellent choice for soups, stews , salads, rice & bean dishes, or make the best ever succotash.
Basic preparation: Wash, rinse & soak overnight. Add 4 Cups of water / Cup of Bean, bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 45-60 minutes or until tender (add more water as needed). Whisk lightly to remove the floating foam while cooking.
Yield: 2 1/4 cups of cooked beans / Cup of dry beans
