Tolosana beans originate from the Basque region of Spain, are popular beans in Spanish cuisine. It has distinct coloration ranging from dark reddish purple to black, with white spots. When cooked, they have a creamy texture, buttery taste and hold their shape well. Use in stews , soups, salads or as side dish.
Basic preparation: Wash, rinse & soak overnight. Add 4 Cups of water/ Cup of Bean, bring to boil. Reduce heat an simmer covered for 60-90 minutes or until tender (add more water as needed).
