8 oz The peel with its attached white pith of Citron (like a huge yellow-green, lumpy lemon like semitropical citrus fruit with extremely thick, lemon-perfumed peel) are boiled to remove the bitterness, and then cooked in a mixture of sugar and water to make glazed/ candied citron. Citron fruits are to be cut into Halves to make the candying process more effective. This glazed Citron has a distinct taste because it combines the bitter taste of the fruit rind with the sweetness of the sugar for a truly mouthwatering experience.
It was a pleasure to be able to find diced, candied citron that actually has some flavor to it! It'll definitely improve my annual Christmas Stollen bread.

You’ve spoiled me….
While the diced citron was much nicer than grocery store citron , it arrived with your own Kalustyans brand glacé orange peel, which is five-star. It sets a higher standard; I wish you made glacé citron as well. Ah well, there’s always next years fruitcakes!
