Coarse Cornmeal is roughly stone ground from whole grain yellow corn, retains some of the hull and germ. Gives an intense corn flavor with a slightly more granular texture even with longer cooking, and lending a little more fiber, flavor and nutrition.
Baked goods will end up having crunchy bits of cornmeal with a satisfying texture.
Used in traditional corn bread, polenta , tortillas, pan cakes, or old-fashioned porridge.
