Barley malt powder (Non Diastatic), contains no active enzymes, made by allowing whole barley grain to briefly sprout, then drying and grinding into a powder, produces a sweetener that is slow digesting.
It has a strong malt-like flavor, half as sweet as honey, resembles molasses in consistency and sweetness. Non-diastatic malt powder is used as a flavoring agents, for color, sweetness and humectancy.
