Sushi Rice
(Koshihikari-Koshi Rice)
This super-premium short grain hybrid rice, harvested in the Sacramento valley, California. This aromatic fatty rice has a natural sweetness, firm yet creamy texture, and is the most favored quality rice perfect for sushi.
Cooking Instructions for plain rice:
- In a sauce pan add 1 1/2cups of water/ Cup soaked & rinsed rice.
- Stir lightly, bring to a soft boil, lower the heat, cover with lid and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, let the rice steamed in the covered pot at least another 10 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid. Fluff with fork and ready to make sushi or serve rice alone.
One cup of rice will yield: 4 cups of cooked rice.
