Triticale is a very special hybrid combination of wheat and rye. It has a flavor that is a bit deeper than wheat's with a subtle hint of rye flavor and balanced sweetness.
Triticle can be used in salads, soups, in baked items and ideal for sweet and savory pastry applications or as a hot breakfast cereal.
Cooking Instruction: Wash, soak and drain. Add 1 cup Triticle to 3 cups water/ stock, bring to boil, add salt to taste. Reduce to a simmer and cover. Cook for about for 45-50 minutes or until all the water absorbed.
