This natural Food Grade mineral salt is from a prehistoric sea salt deposit (during Jurassic Period) near Redmond in Utah. At present the salt is harvested 300 feet below the surface of the earth. Its light pinkish appearance and specks of color comes from natural trace minerals (over 60 essential minerals including Iodine).
