Miyeok seawees is rich in calcium and iodine, nutrients,
also called ‘Sea Mustard’ or Brown Seaweed.
Miyeok-guk, a Korean seaweed soup is made from it,
traditionally eaten as part of birthday celebrations.
It is a very common side dish served with rice. Dried miyeok is soaked in cold water until soft (5 min),
then wash (2-3times) and boiled in an anchovy stock
with shellfish or beef, season with soy sauce, minced
garlic and sesame oil, serve with rice.
