Special blend of spices originated at Chesapeake Bay area in Maryland, a perfect seasoning for steaming crabs, shrimp, lobster and other tasty seafood dishes. Also can be used as a flavorful addition for grilled fish, fried chicken, potato salad, pasta salad, vegetable dips, French fries, popcorn, baked potatoes, deviled eggs, hamburgers, and even pizza. Chesapeake Bay Seasoning is great sprinkled on any type of whitefish, shellfish or shrimp.
Suggested Uses: ¼-1/2 tsp per pound of large steamed shrimp/ prawns.
Ingredients: Sea salt, Cayenne Pepper, Paprika, Dry Mustard powder, Black Pepper, Bay Leaf, Allspice, Ginger, Nutmeg, Cardamom, Cinnamon.
Sample recipe for crab cake:
One lb. of crab meat, a half cup of bread crumbs, 2 eggs, a quarter cup mayonnaise, a tsp Chesapeake Bay seasoning, a half tsp. white pepper, 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tsp. dry mustard mixed together will make six crab cakes. Pan-fry for 5 minutes each side and serve with a wedge of lemon.
