This classic Pesto Sauce Seasoning mix will make a zesty & delicious basil pesto sauce. Perfect for sandwiches, dips, and pasta. Can be used on pizza or with virtually anything to add an Italian taste.
Ingredients: Dried basil, Garlic, Onion, Salt.
To make Pesto Sauce: In a sauce pan stir 1tbsp pesto sauce mix in ½ cup water(or ½ cup milk for creamy pasta), 3tbsp extra virgin olive oil, Cook over medium-high heat, while stirring constantly, until pesto comes to a boil. Remove from heat, add 8oz ground pine nut & ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese, mix well. Add the pesto sauce to freshly prepared pasta. For pesto dip: Put 1tsp pesto sauce mix in 1 cup mayonnaise and 1 cup sour cream, mix until well blended, refrigerate, and serve with crackers or potato chips.
