Prekese, the pods of the aidan tree, thrive in forests and rainforests across West Africa.
Aidan fruit combines sweet and slightly bitter notes, has a distinct aroma, and as having
a tangy, slightly sour taste. Imparts a unique and pungent flavor to dishes.
Prekese is used as a spice for food and also an excellent African herbal Tea.
Suggested Uses:
Dried pods are chopped or crushed for adding to tinctures, drinks or food. It adds depth and complexity to soups, stews, sauces and marinades. Mostly used to prepare palm nut soup.

Has many medicinal benefits and it is a dietary supplement rich in vitamins and contain antioxidants, minerals and anti-inflammatory properties.
It has a strong aromatic smell, with insect repellant properties.
