Organic Stevia Extract powder is a sweetener made from the Stevia Rebaudiana leaves, native to Paraguay and Brazil. It contains naturally sweet steviol glycosides which are isolated, filtered, and treated with enzymes to remove most bitterness, resulting powder is around 200 times sweeter than sugar, with no calories.
It has a slightly bitter aftertaste, which can be reduced by blending it with other sweeteners. Stevia extract powder is a great way to sweeten foods and drinks.
Typical amount recommended is 40 mg, or about 1/32 tsp.
