This very aromatic, strong flavored, thick, dark brown oil pressed from sesame seeds has a distinctive nutty taste. It isnot normally used for cooking, but added as a final seasoning ingredient, drizzled over dishes at the table, or used in marinades. Sesame oil subtly inriches a dish without overwhelming the basic flavor. It may sometimes be used in cooking, but mixed with a larger amout of other oil. Sesame oil is also used in many cold dishes, as a flvoring ingredient in dressings, or dipping sauces.
