Bugleweed
(Lycopus Americanus)
Bugleweed grows in stream banks and marshes of North America, known for its powerful expectorant & anti-tussive properties, to treat cough, reduce fever & mucus production in the flu & colds. It has also has been used in combination with lemon balm and motherwort for treating patients with overactive thyroid. Additionally it may also have the potential to limit iodine absorption in the thyroid.
To make tea: Steep 1 tsp dried leaves a cup of boiling water for 15 minutes. Strain and drink 2-3 times a day.
