Chicken Marsala is a delicious Italian-American dish made from chicken cutlets, mushrooms, and Marsala wine, originated in western Sicily, where Marsala wine is produced.
Chicken breasts may be braised in a mixture of Marsala wine, Butter, Olive oil, Mushrooms and Chicken Marsala seasoning mix.
Minced garlic, Marjoram, minced onion, black pepper, basil, parsley.
In a shallow dish or bowl, mix ¼ cup all-purpose flour, 1/2tsp salt, 1-2tbsp Marsala spice mix. Coat chicken pieces in flour mixture. In a large skillet, melt 4tbsp butter in 4tbsp olive oil over medium heat, lightly brown the chicken pieces, add I cup sliced mushrooms. Pour in ½ cup Marsala wine and ¼ cup cooking sherry wine. Cover and simmer chicken 10 minutes, turning once, until juices run clear.
