A delicious blend of top grade Red Lentils (Masoor) and Petite Yellow Lentils (Moong), makes a protein rich, easy to digest, soft textured soup. This is a great accompaniment to any type of roti (flat bread) or steamed rice.
Cooking Instruction: Rinse, soak & drain. Add 4 cups of water/cup lentil mix, bring to boil. Simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes or until soft & tender (add more water as needed). Whisk lightly, remove the floating foam. Flavor with butter or oil, salt to taste or dal masala seasoning if
desired. Cook uncovered over low heat until desired consistency. Serve warm.
1 cup dry yields 2 ½ cup cooked dal.
