This is a unique blend of Indian Patna Rice, Pearled Barley, Yellow & Green Split Peas, Red & Green lentils, for a convenient way to make delicious Lentil soup. Add to your favorite meat, vegetables and herbs for a tasty meal.
Cooking Instruction: Rinse, soak & drain. Add 4 cups of water/cup lentil soup mix, bring to boil. Simmer on low heat for 40-45 minutes or until soft & tender (add more water as needed). Whisk lightly, remove the floating foam. Flavor with butter or oil, salt to taste or dal masala seasoning if desired. Cook uncovered over low heat until desired consistency. Serve warm.
1 cup dry yields 2 ½ cup cooked dal.
