Acid Phosphate, Horsford's

Acid phosphate is not the same as phosphoric acid. It is phosphoric acid which has been buffered by specific mineral salts to create its unique characteristics. The tongue tingling sensation and dry tart flavor are what make Acid Phosphate distinct from other soda acids. Acid Phosphate can be used in cocktails to enhance the sour character.
