These thinly shredded dried long chili threads are made from the Korean mild red chili pepper, have a smoky, fresh, earthy flavor with mild heat.
These chili threads add visual interest and fresh pepper flavor in foods without adding too much heat. Threads can be used "as is", toasted, or rehydrated. Gently toast them over medium heat for about one minute. Soak them in water for 10-15 min, will soften them and give a feathery appearance.
Use to top kimchi, pancakes, ramen, salads, soups, stir-fries, veggies and meat dishes.
