Chinese flat green tea leaves are lightly rolled & dried in a pan over a fire to give this tea leaves a mild nutty & toasty flavor. It has more "earthy" taste than Japanese teas. Steeps a sweet & smooth cup.
To Make Tea: In a warm tea pot put 1/2 tsp tea leaves, pour a cup of hot water (175-185°F), steep for 2/3 minutes, strain & drink. Steeping green tea too hot or too long will result in a bitter.
A most excellent tea! This is my wife's favorite kind of tea, and Kalustyan's has done a great job of sourcing this terrific tasting tea. It has a slight taste of lemon grass and is earthy. It goes best with Chinese food (IMO).
