De Arbol Chiles are known for their long, thin pods having bright, rich color and searing heat. It is closely related to the cayenne pepper, but much lower in heat and much tastier. This exceptionally hot pepper powder is used mostly for its pleasant, nutty and smoky flavor.
It is very popular in western Mexico for its regional cuisine. Ground dried peppers are use this to flavor soups, stews or create spicy salsas, marinades, spice rubs and spice blends.
