Ground Mace blades are the most aromatic and delicate ground spice that grows as lacy
coating (aril) over the nutmeg (Jaifal) spice, the fruit seed of the evergreen nutmeg tree.
It has a sweet aromatic fragrance (sweeter and delicate than Nutmeg) spicy-earthy taste.
Mace powder enhances the taste and add warm-spice flavor to Indian, Asian and
European cuisines in baking and sweet dishes.
Suggested Uses:
Ground Mace is most common ingredient in Indian cuisines. Mostly used in baking & sweet dishes. Often used in spice blends for flavoring meat dishes, stews, curries and sauces. Also added to flavor breads, cakes, cookies, desserts, pastries, and to make spiced tea or coffee.
Mace powder is recommended to be added at the end of the cooking process.
Mace powder can be substituted for Nutmeg powder in small amount in any recipe.
