Chana dal (Husked and split Bengal gram/ Kala Chana) is roasted to give it a deeper taste & texture.

Commonly used as a thickener in chutneys, condiments, soups or curries or blended into dishes for earthy and nutty flavor.

Can be powdered or coarsely crushed before using in recipes

Can be eaten as snack or added to snacks mixes or spruced up with tomato, cucumber, onion, chili powder and lime juice.
