Singoda flour is made from Indian dried ground water chestnut (Trapa bispinosa). This flour is naturally gluten-free and used as a thickener for gravies and sauces.
Also used to make batter for deep frying Indian soft and easily chewable appetizers (pudding, pancakes, puris, chapattis,cakes, cookies, desserts and sweets during the fasting period in India.
Water chestnut flour is high in carbohydrates, low in sodium and fats and provide essential nutrients.
