Hard Red Wheat Berries are reddish tan wheat kernels, after being hulled, their bran, endosperm and germ layers are left intact.
When cooked, has nutty flavor and chewy texture. Can be tossed with vegetables and dressing for a hearty salad, added to soups and stews.
Cooking Instruction: Wash, rinse, soak overnight and drain. Add 4 cup water/ cup of wheat berries, bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium; cover and simmer 60 minutes or until tender. Turn off the heat, let steam covered for another 15 minutes. Drain excess liquid.
