Wheat Starch

Wheat starch is a carbohydrate found in wheat, made from the processed endosperm of the wheat grain. by removing the proteins including gluten.

It improves texture, moisture retention and tenderness in a variety of foods and also used as a fat substitute. Primarily used as a thickening or glazing agent.

It is best to stir it into water first before it is added to other foods, so can be used more easily incorporated without creating lumps.
