Zhug Spice Mix
This spice mix is used to make Yemenite ‘zhug /skhug’ paste, a traditional hot sauce, used as a condiment or dipping sauce.
Try it with falafel, hummus, or add to your soups and stews, or spread on your sandwiches. Just sprinkle on grilled meats and vegetables, and roasted potatoes of authentic spicy flavor.
To make ‘Zhug’ dipping sauce:
Drizzle some olive oil on a plate and then sprinkle a little ‘Zhug spice mix’ into the oil, mix it and use as a dipping sauce.
