Moroccan Cumin (Kamoon) seed powder, is the ground fruit/seed of an annual flowering
plant, cultivated in warm fertile valley of Atlantic coast.
It is one of the most fragrant ingredients used in Moroccan cuisine. Also used as a
spice for their distinctive aroma, and popular through out in North Africa. Moroccan cumin
is very fragrant and adds a nutty flavor, and bitter-sweet taste to all Moroccan cuisine.
Suggested Uses:
Mostly used as a condiment and season roasted & grilled meats and also add flavor
to sauces, veggies, stews, beans, eggs, tagines (lamb or chicken), and even salads.
Sprinkled on kabobs and grilled meats, or add to spice blend to flavor couscous.
Also used in spice blends like 'Ras El Hanout' or other Moroccan Seasoning Mixes.
Health Benefits:
Cumin seeds have a high concentration of the essential oil cuminaldehyde, that stimulates the production of pancreatic enzymes and help digestion, treats stomach upset and flatulence.
