Maras/ Marash peppers flakes, made from dried reddish/orange Marash Pappers, native to town in southeastern Turkey, known as Kahramanmaras/Maras). Maras Peppers have a moderate heat and known for its rich, complex and slightly sweet-fruity flavor. It has high moisture and oil content, taste is slightly acidic with hints of deep earthy flavors.
Maras flakes are usually mixed with olive oil and used as a dipping sauce for bread or as a marinade for lamb, goat, chicken or fish. Add a spoon in a soup or sauce, or sprinkled over eggs, pasta, salad greens, rice pilafs, bean and lentils, grilled vegetables, beef and fish.
