Chanterelle Mushrooms are mycorrhizal fungi, a
Small, funnel-shaped mushrooms they grow in
the root systems of hardwood and coniferous
trees or bushes and shrubs, where they exchange
nutrients with the root systems. They have a
delicious delicate flavor backed with mild
peppery notes, tender texture and a notably
sweet aroma along with smoky notes.
Dried Chanterelles are a great reconstituted
(soak in boiling water for 15-20 min) then
sautéed in butter. Serve with roast meats and
poultry, or blend into sauces, vegetarian
recipes and stir-fries.
