Matsutake mushrooms (aka 'Pine Mushroom')
are a wild Japanese mushroom that grows in
of Asia and the Pacific Northwest. Known for
for their thick, fibrous white flesh. Mushrooms
are picked, sliced, dried & ground to preserve
the distinctive pungent, earthy, spicy pine &
cinnamon flavor and aroma.
Matsutakes powder are often used to add
umami and depth of flavor and nutrition to
very popular Asian food. Simply shake some
into simmering soups, omelets, pasta dishes,
rice dishes, roasted vegetables, smoothies,
salads, stir-fries. Mushroom powder can be
mixed with flour when baking.
