The ‘Panch Phoran’ Masala, is a traditional Bengali spice mix used in seasoning or tempering (Tadka/Tarka) dal/lentil, vegetable, fish or meat dishes. It lends an authentic flavor & lovely aroma when added to a dish.
To use ground Panch phoron: In a pan add a few pinches Panch phoran powder in oil or ghee until it releases the aroma. Add your dal, vegetables or meat to the pan, or simply toss other dishes when simmering.
