Sugarcane molasses in the lower ratio (3.5 %) is added to fine granulated refined cane sugar to produce Light Brown sugar. It gives a light golden brown color, nutty and subtle sweet molasses (caramel) flavor, in addition to the natural sweetness of crystalline sucrose.
Ideal for cookies, shortbread, brownies and crumble toppings. Baked goods made with light brown sugar end up slightly moist, lighter and finer texture with mellow taste. Used mostly in delicate cakes like coconut, carrot, chocolate or spiced cakes.
