Agar-Agar, also known as ‘Kanten or, China grass’, derived from natural red sea veg.
Used as a stabilizer and perfect all- purpose gelatin (vegetarian thickening agent) for soups, fruits preserves, ice creams, puddings, cheesecakes, other desserts and egg-free dessert recipes.
Agar-Agar is rich in iodine and trace minerals.
3 tsp Agar flakes is roughly equivalent to 1 tsp Agar powder.
How to use: Stir in 1 tbsp agar flakes in 1/4 cup liquid (water or milk), cook over medium heat, gently for 2 to 3 minutes, until the flakes are dissolved. Add agar mixture immediately to liquid you wish to thicken and stir well. It will thicken in 30-45 minutes.
