Agave powder is dehydrated agave syrup, a natural sweetener, made from the sap of hearts (piñas) of the agave plant. It is an excellent sugar substitute since it is 30% sweeter than table sugar. Agave powder is low in glucose but contain significantly more fructose. It has 25% less calories than sugar, and has low glycemic index, perfect for a healthier alternative to sugar.
