Arborio Rice
(Top Grade Superfine)
Arborio is a plump, oval-shaped, traditional Italian short-grain rice. When cooked, rice grain softens, lends creaminess & chewy texture.
Prized for its ability to absorb the flavors, and used to make Risotto, creamy texture dishes, and also for rice pudding.
Cooking Instructions for plain rice:
- In a sauce pan add 4-5 cups of water or broth / Cup rice, 1 tsp sat (opt), 1 Tbsp butter (if desired).
- Bring to a soft boil, lower the heat, cover with lid and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, let the rice steamed in the covered pot at least another 10 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid.
- Fluff with fork and ready to serve rice alone.
One cup of rice will yield: 3 cups of cooked rice.
