BBQ Rub Seasoning
This is the traditional barbecue rub seasoning mix for Kansas City-Style slow cooking Ribs. Kansas City barbecue is slow-smoked over a variety of woods and then brushed with a Kansas style thick tomato- and molasses-based sauce to provide a mouthwatering smoky, spicy, sweet & tangy flavor.
A wide variety of meat like beef, chicken, turkey, mutton and also fish are used in Kansas City barbecue.
Ingredients:
Evaporative Cane Sugar, Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Chili Pepper, Garlic, Onion, Hickory Smoke Powder, Paprika Recipe to grill Rib:
Remove the membrane from 4-5lb ribs, dry them with a paper towel and then rub 3tbsp BBQ Rub Seasoning evenly over both side, Store the ribs in the refrigerator for 8 hours. Set up the grill for indirect heating. (Don’t place them directly over the flames). Preheat the grill to medium heat (225°-250°F), cook the rib approximately for 2 hours, turning and rotating occasionally. Brush with Kansas City style BBQ sauce onto the ribs, and grill cook (turning and brushing occasionally) for another 20-30 minutes or grill until ribs are brown and well done. Meat temp should around 180-190.
