Blackened Cajun seasoning is a spice blend used in Cajun cuisine. Typically cooked in a very hot cast iron skillet creating a crispy- crusty texture with a characteristic dark blackened exterior and tender- juicy inside, with a complex flavor
on meats, poultry, or seafood.
Blackened Cajun seasoning is typically less Spicer than other Cajun seasonings.
Ingredients:
Onion, Garlic, Thyme, Paprika, Cayenne, Red Chili Pepper, Black Pepper, Fennel, Lemon Peel, Oregano, White Pepper, Citric Acid, Silicon Dioxide(1% or less)
Suggested Uses:
Add oil in a heated heavy black iron skillet, heat over med high heat until smoking. Dip the meat or fish in melted butter, coat generously with ‘Blackened seasoning’, cook both side in the skillet until it has attractive dark crispy crust with tender & juicy inside. Serve with rice or seasonal vegetables.
