Carqueja flowers grows in the mountains of central Portugal, has long been used for digestive disorders, help with common colds and flu, fighting inflammation, healing acne, help purge obstructions of the liver and gallbladder, as well as a good blood cleanser. Also used for sterility in women and impotency in men.*
Carqueja Tea: Put 1 teaspoon of flower in a cup of boiling water and steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain, may add honey to sweeten and drink warm taken in 1/2 cup dosages, 2-3 times daily.
