(Coriandrum sativum)
Coriander seeds are aromatic fruit-seed of a flowering herb called Dhania (India), also
known as cilantro (North America) or Chinese parsley. These Indian yellowish brown
colored seeds are oval shaped, slightly larger, sweeter and has stronger flavor profile than
Moroccan coriander seeds, with stronger nuttiness and citrus notes.
Roasting the seeds in a dry pan heightens the flavor, aroma, and pungency.
Suggested Uses:
Coriander seed are known to be used in both savory and sweet dishes. Used whole or ground in spice blends, or added with other spices as a flavor enhancer in curries, gravies, soups, stews, meat, fish, vegetable or chicken dishes.
