Coriander Seed (Coriandrum sativum)
These roasted oval shaped whole coriander seeds are the dry-roasted aromatic fruit-seed
of a flowering herb called Dhania (India), also known as cilantro (North America) or Chinese
parsley. Dry roasting intensified the seeds delicate citrucy warm-sweet fragrance and
gives stronger nutty & smoky undertone. Adding minimal amount will enhance the
flavour of dishes. Also grinding the seeds will bring out more fragrance and flavor.
Suggested Uses:
Roasted Coriander seeds are used in both savory and sweet dishes to enhance the
much better flavor of dishes. Used whole or ground in spice blends, or added with other spices as a flavor enhancer in curries, gravies, soups, stews, meat, fish, vegetable or chicken dishes.
