Corn Syrup Solids
AKA 'Corn Syrup Powder, Dried Corn Syrup'
Corn syrup solids are dehydrated & powdered corn syrup, often used as a thickener or stabilizers in processed foods. It provides mild sweetness (20% sugar), help retain moisture and soften texture, add volume, prevent sugar crystallization and enhance flavor.
It is commonly used in coffee creamers. Used as an ingredient in baking, confectionery, ice-cream, sorbet, dry mixes, dairy desserts and sauces. Give pretzels their shine, replace the rich mouthfeel of fats in light dressings, and keep frozen desserts from melting too quickly.
Used as binding ingredients in making sausage (use 1 1/2 Tbsp/ 10lbs of meat).
